Congratulations to LTM WAter Treatment for celebrating 30 years of business! Not many companies last that long!
How did LTM stay open for 30 years when so many other companies have opened only to fail? From the very beginning LTM Water committed to solving water problems by using quality products and hiring quality people. LTM Water is most proud that even though we are a small company, LTM has been able to retain its employees. To have a knowledgeable staff the best way is to have an experienced staff. Water Conservation

In honor of Earth Day, LTM Water has a few tips on conserving water. (1) Instead of raking up grass clippings, leave them on the ground to act as a natural fertilizer. (2) Use lots of mulch. Mulch keeps the soil moist which requires less water to water your flowers or garden. (3) Did you know that a leaking pipe can waste 20 gallons of water a day? This is an extra 600 gallons on your water and sewer bill each month, so fix those leaky pipes. (4) Doing your dishes in the dishwasher only uses 7-9 gallons of water per load versus washing them by hand. (5) When doing laundry wait until you have a full load and use cold water. If you do a bunch of small loads this is a big waste of water. (6) While brushing your teeth be sure to shut off the water! This could save up to 4 gallons a minute. That’s 200 gallons a week for a family of four! (7) When washing dishes by hand, don’t let the water run while rinsing. Fill one sink with wash water and the other with rinse water. (8) When watering your lawn, make sure the water is only hitting grass/flowers. The driveway, sidewalk and street don’t require water. (9) Collect the water used for rinsing produce and reuse it to water houseplants. Hopefully all of these tips could save you lots of money right now and protect our earth’s water supply in the long run.

Earth Day Celebration, Saturday, April 24th from noon-4pm at Rock Valley College in the Physical Education Center. Learn about non-electric Kinetico water softeners. They also use 80% less water and salt when they recycle compared to conventional water softeners.

As you are golfing today, be sure to stay out of the water!! You never know what may be in there. Same with your home shower. Do you have chlorine in your water??? If so you need to get it out with a whole house dechlorination system from LTM Water and Kinetico.
